Earlier this week, Dynasty Pot launched its soft opening at 1371 E. 14th Street. This authentic Taiwanese-style hot pot restaurant offers eclectic and intriguing dishes, including lamb, beef or chicken hot pot, Hong Kong-influenced wonton hot pot, Korean-style hot pot, tripe hot pot, and supreme spicy soup.   The new restaurant sits right on Washington Plaza, facing the parking lot, and has brought new life to a space that has been vacant for a considerable period of time.

The hot pots – of which there are ten choices – come with white rice or salted pork porridge, as well as green or black tea. Unlike other styles of hot pots, these arrive at your table fully cooked and ready to dig in. Dynasty Pot’s menu also includes a variety of specialty drinks, including smoothies, shaved ices, and boba teas.

Significant investment has been made on the interior of the space, which has received a vibrant and modern upgrade, including a mural depicting urban Hong Kong settings as you walk in. The atmosphere of the restaurant resonates well with the Dynasty Pot business slogan: “We believe that good times deserve great food.

Dynasty Pot will be open for lunch and dinner every day of the week, with extended hours until 11PM on Fridays and Saturdays. Please note that the entry to Dynasty Pot faces Washington Avenue, so you won’t see it from E. 14th Street. Stop by and give the latest Downtown restaurant arrival a try!

I thought this would be a pot dispensary when I saw the name, LOL. Now that it’s legal people might want to reconsider naming their businesses.

  3. G Scharff says:

Where is it compared to Tapioca Express?

  4. Dj says:

“Cow cypress” is in every dish. Anyone have a guess as to what they meant?

Really happy to hear about all these new restaurants popping up. Are there any plans to improve parking downtown? It’s already cramped enough as is, with more restaurants coming in I am worried the problem will only get worse.

  6. Michael says:

@Jimbo Jones — I think there is already a new multi-story parking structure near Estudillo/E 14th, it’s just tucked away from the corner

Nice!!! I just wish the owner or tenant improved the exterior of that building…what an eyesore.
