Exploratorium FinishedLast week, the Exploratorium arrived on site at Joaquin Plaza and installed the highly anticipated interactive musical exhibit made possible by  grant funding from the State Department of Housing and Community Development.  The exhibit is a collaborative, publicly accessible and participant-activated auditory experience featuring eight points of interaction, where visitors can use a rocking, glider-chair mechanism to trigger individually pitched chimes for a soothingly ambient experience.  The installation is now complete, and a grand opening ceremony has been scheduled to take place on:

Wednesday August 3rd
5:30 PM

Joaquin Plaza

This exciting addition to Downtown San Leandro is part of an effort to activate and enliven the area, expand public art, and to contribute to making Downtown a more pedestrian-friendly destination.
