Bridge Housing Celebrates Opening of La Vereda
On Friday, January 31, 2020 Bridge Housing hosted the Grand Opening of La Vereda, the 85-unit senior affordable housing sister component to Marea Alta, which opened in 2017. La Vereda is located at 528 West Juana Avenue and is fully leased. Marea Alta is located at 1400 San Leandro Boulevard and its 115 affordable housing units are also fully leased.
This highly anticipated development has gained a great deal of attention over the last several years as one of the largest modular affordable housing developments in California. Overall, the City of San Leandro has invested nearly $11 million in Marea Alta and La Vereda, which provide 245 underground parking spaces for BART patrons, as well as a forthcoming child care center and small retail space.
