Downtown Farmers’ Market Returns April 1
The Downtown San Leandro Farmer’s Market is back for another year, with an opening date of Wednesday, April 1. The market will take place every Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. on Parrott Street, running through mid-October. This is the eighth season the City has partnered with Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association to provide a mix of fresh fruits & vegetables, grains & nuts, and a variety of other items such as olive oils, coffee, flowers, and even doggy treats. There are also fresh, hot foods prepared at the market, including crepes, Mexican and Indian food, roasted chicken and kettle corn.
This year’s weekly themes will be:
-
1st Wednesday of the month: Cooking Demonstrations
-
2nd Wednesday of the month: Green Market Days sponsored by San Leandro Recycling
-
3rd Wednesday of the month: Bicycle Wednesdays
-
4th Wednesday of the month: Wine Tasting
The market will continue to host weekly live music and local merchant and community booths. The market also proudly supports the Cal Fresh/EBT program (food stamps).
See you at the Market!
