Returning on Wednesday, March 26th: the Downtown Farmers’ Market Season is Extended!
The popular Downtown Farmer’s Market is returning early this year, with an opening date of Wednesday, March 26th at 4:00 p.m. The Downtown San Leandro Farmers’ Market is a must-stop spot in the Downtown from spring through autumn, and interest for an expanded season has been met with the March opening (previous seasons have opened in April).
This is the seventh season the City has partnered with Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association (PCFMA) to provide a mix of fresh fruits & vegetables, grains & nuts, and a variety of other complimentary items such as olive oils, coffee, flowers, and even doggy treats in the Downtown. There are also fresh, hot foods prepared at the market, including crepes, Mexican and Indian food, roasted chicken and kettle corn. The market is always growing and expanding with several new vendors joining over the course of the summer, so return visits always prove to reveal new foods and concepts.
The market will continue to host weekly live music, local merchant & community booths and monthly demonstrations of cooking & opportunities to promote an active lifestyle.
The market proudly supports the Cal Fresh/EBT program (food stamps).
See you at the Market!
