San Francisco Beer Week 2025: What’s Happening in San Leandro?

San Leandro has a rich history not only as a hub for food manufacturing but also for beer production. Drake’s Brewing Company, founded in 1989, played a key role in the Bay Area’s craft beer renaissance, offering a wide range of brews with a focus on bold flavors and innovation. Establishing its headquarters and brewing facility in San Leandro in 2015, 21st-Amendment Brewery is renowned for its creative and flavorful beers, such as the popular “Hell or High Watermelon.” Known for its fun and unique brand, 21st-Amendment also has a history of advocacy for the craft beer movement. Today, San Leandro’s legacy as a beer town continues through these craft breweries, along with its continued importance in food manufacturing and other industries.

San Francisco Beer Week 2025 kicks off this Friday (February 21) with over a week of special events scheduled all around San Francisco Bay. In San Leandro, 21st-Amendment Brewery and Drake’s Brewing Company are once again getting in on the action, with events both new and familiar.
