Parking meeting. I can’t attend, but I want it known that 4 handicapped spaces for the Washington St Safeway is totally inadequate.
San Leandro has the largest Senior citizen population of all the Bay Area Cities.

It just does NOT make a whole lot of sense to have a public meeting that potentially affects so many working people during regular working hours… Unless your intention is to exclude the very people that are to be impacted the most by the outcome of such an event… I’m just sayin’…

Mike – This meeting is focused on downtown businesses and was scheduled at a time that, based on our experience, tends to attract the strongest attendance from business owners. The August meeting for residents will be held in the evening. We will provide more information on that meeting in the coming weeks.

Can’t make the meeting, so I’ll say it here. Please enforce the 72 hour rule on residential streets around the downtown area. Very frustrating that people store their cars there for months at a time and nothing is done about it. Also, marking spaces in residential areas would help to maximize available parking.
