Fusion Factory Now Open on Marina Blvd
The former Dairy Belle at 1776 Marina Boulevard has undergone a transformation, and shortly before the new year, Fusion Factory, opened its doors to customers.
Fusion Factory is a new restaurant franchise specializing in Asian fusion offerings, drawing inspiration from Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Indian, and Filipino cuisines. The tongue-in-cheek menu features expected staples, such as Kung Pow! chicken or Mongolian steak, alongside interesting innovations, such as Chef Rod’s spicy fusion rice, or Julian’s Seoul food steak. The food is plated beautifully in considerable portions, with crisp textures and well-balanced flavors. For those who desire additional flavor, Fusion Factory makes available a variety of sauces, including single-serve sriracha pouches.
Catering to the dinner crowd, Fusion Factory has partnered with all three local breweries, 21st Amendment, Cleophus Quealy, and Drake’s to offer ten San Leandro beers on tap. The remaining two taps are also dedicated to regional Bay Area breweries.
Fusion Factory has invested over $500,000 in exterior and interior improvements to the building, and is a participant in the City’s Commercial Facade Improvement incentive program. The restaurant is already open to customers, but plans to host a grand opening event before the end of January.
