As you continue to shelter in place, don’t forget that San Leandro restaurants are open!  While dine-in business is currently prohibited under the Alameda County order through April 7th, restaurants are permitted to continue take-out and delivery service.  Residents may continue to patronize their favorite local restaurants (and take a break from cooking) by ordering online or by phone.

Many restaurants are now offering take-out service who don’t usually do so. Others provide in-house delivery or through services such as GrubHub, UberEats, and DoorDash, many of which are now waiving their commission fees, and modifying their service to a no-contact delivery model.

For the latest list of businesses offering delivery, visit the San Leandro Chamber’s COVID-19 Resource Page and Click on ‘Shelter in Place: Open Essential Businesses‘.  And if you don’t see your favorite restaurant on the list, don’t hesitate to give them a call.  Restaurants are among the hardest hit businesses under the current restrictions and they could use your support!

Residents and businesses can learn more about the City of San Leandro’s response to COVID-19, review frequently asked questions, and find links to resources at www.sanleandro.org/c19.  Businesses are also encouraged to check San Leandro Next, where business resources will continue to be updated, and to reach out to slnext@sanleandro.org with questions or concerns.
