Dining Discoveries: Mai Thai
Mai Thai
Recommended by Vice Mayor Jim Prola, City Council Member, District 6
Thai food is full of blended flavors and is often more complex than the eye can see; Thai sauces alone can have up to 15 ingredients. Thai cuisine also tries to incorporate different combinations of the five fundamental taste senses in each dish: sour, sweet, salty, bitter and spicy.
These principles continue to inspire the cooking of Mai Thai, an Asian-style bistro at the Marina Faire Shopping Center that offers a variety of Asian-fusion dishes that will satisfy everyone at the table. Drawing from Chinese, Indian and Thai flavors, the menu is full of traditional Thai dishes like pad thai, papaya salad, larb and Thai curries as well as fusion dishes like black bean flat noodles, duck fried rice and Asian-marinated BBQ. Mai Thai is great for lunch or dinner, but their best deal is their lunch specials as they are affordable, quick, serve generous portions and understand the value of the lunch hour.
The restaurant has an elegant bistro-feel, with dark wood and cultural décor. Mai Thai’s busy ambiance is full of life as people enjoy their food and their company. The excellent plating is a nice creative touch that brings the restaurant’s elements together. With ample parking, grab your co-workers, family or friends and try out the wonderful flavors of southeast Asia.
About Dining Discoveries: San Leandro’s restaurant scene is full of hidden gems, quirky hole-in-the-walls, and authentic ethnic foods. Dining Discoveries is a recurring feature on San Leandro Next designed to bring awareness to businesses that have been flying under the radar…and to help you find a great place to get dinner tonight. We started by asking the City Council for their recommendations and we’ll looking to the community for ongoing help in identifying great restaurants that people may not know about.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was
curious what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost
a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Kudos
