Fieldwork Brewing Now Open in Downtown San Leandro
San Leandro’s craft beer cluster continues to grow! At the end of August, Fieldwork Brewing Company opened its doors to thirsty San Leandrans, after much anticipation and excitement in the community.
Fieldwork’s new San Leandro Taproom & Beer Garden is their largest space yet with 7,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, 32 taps featuring an ever-changing lineup of fresh beers from their Berkeley brewery with styles from Lagers to Westcoast and Hazy IPAs to Belgians and everything in between, and a full food menu of Neopolitan and Detroit style pizzas, Salads, and Small Plates.
“We’re really excited to be open in San Leandro. We’re grateful to everyone in the city offices who helped us through the process over the past six months and made it so smooth for us. We feel really welcomed. We will work to have Fieldwork add value to the community and be a local, family friendly place where friends and neighbors can gather a la the classic European beer gardens.”
Barry Braden, CEO and Co-Founder
Established in 2015, Fieldwork Brewing Company is a craft brewery based in Berkeley, CA brewing for the regional Northern California marketplace. Available at their Berkeley, Corte Madera, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Mateo, San Ramon, and now San Leandro taprooms & beer gardens, Fieldwork beers are also on draft at the finest local craft beer focused restaurants and bars.
Fieldwork’s latest releases can be enjoyed by sampler flight, beer by the glass, and filled “to go” in 32oz Crowlers. Weekly Release cans are available onsite and for pickup while supplies last at each location.
The San Leandro Taproom & Beer Garden is open daily:
Monday – Thursday: 12 pm – 10 pm
Friday & Saturday: 11 am – 11 pm
Sunday: 11 am – 10 pm
Fieldwork’s opening continues ongoing efforts to revitalize Downtown San Leandro, and is especially significant as it pertains to the development of the property itself. In 2019, WannaWin San Leandro, LLC. purchased the property at 1495 E 14th St., which was formerly occupied by Bay Bank. WannaWin is investing over $5 million into the building, including seismic retrofitting, new wiring, new tenant spaces, and an exterior remodel. On the E. 14th Street side of the building, Dave’s Hot Chicken is currently under construction.
Remodeling of this property works towards the goals of the Downtown Transit-Oriented Development Plan and represents a ‘completion’ of improved properties at the key downtown corner of West Juana and East 14th St.
Fieldwork is my favorite beer! So glad they came to San Leandro.
This will hopefully place San Leandro on the map! as a hip downtown place to go. Hopefully it will encourage other businesses to choose San Leandro. There are 3 empty lots on the corners of Callan, Davis, and e. 14th. Heard Sprouts was coming to one of the corners but who knows what happened.
So excited to visit! I’m a Local Realtor and San Leandro Native so I will definitely be stopping by to showcase what this beautiful city has to offer! Would love to network and make connections, as well, any way I can! Email: Carriepolk@kw.com (Instagram) @letsturnthekey
