Truth Thursdays Back for Third Season at San Leandro Tech Campus

On Thursday, May 23, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. the San Leandro Improvement Association (SLIA) will launch its third annual season of the “Truth Thursdays” monthly community food truck event. As in past years, the event will occur every fourth Thursday of the month at the San Leandro Tech Campus (1600 Alvarado St) in the plaza surrounding the 55-foot tall Truth is Beauty sculpture. This event will feature Food Truck Mafia food trucks, beer from San Leandro breweries 21st Amendment, Cleophus Quealy, and Drake’s, as well as wine, recreational games and live entertainment. Co-hosted by Westlake Urban and OSIsoft, with additional sponsorships from Kaiser Permanente and Ghirardelli, the event will be free to the public. Free parking is also available at the Tech Campus Parking Garage (enter from San Leandro Blvd. & Parrott Street).

This season, Truth Thursdays will celebrate different themes to offer a varied experience from month to month:

• May 23 – First Responders Appreciation
• June 27 – “Made in San Leandro”
• July 25 – Arts & Culture
• August 23 – Season Bookend, with live music headliner to be announced
