Celebrate Small Business Week May 5 – May 11
In the City Council meeting on Monday, May 6, Mayor Cutter will proclaim the week of May 5 through May 11, 2019 as Small Business Week in the city of San Leandro. With 28 million small employers nationwide, small businesses constitute two out of three jobs in America. In San Leandro there are more than 2,700 businesses employing 25 or fewer people, and many of these are minority- and women-owned.
During this meeting, the City will honor four San Leandro businesses in food production or service. Among those honored will be kombucha brewery House Kombucha, cricket protein producer Tiny Farms, and food establishments Papaito Rotisserie/Antigua Coffee Shop, and Top Hatters Kitchen.
