For over 20 years the San Leandro LINKS Shuttle has provided free, first/last mile, transportation between the San Leandro BART station and West San Leandro. The shuttles currently operate Monday through Friday during peak commute hours, 5:45 AM – 9:45 AM and again from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

LINKS offers comfortable buses and connects riders between the San Leandro BART Station and popular destinations such as Marina Square, Costco, Walmart, Kaiser Permanente, local employers and residential areas. LINKS offers a real-time tracking service through NextBus/Umo Mobility, which allows riders to locate nearest stops and find real-time arrival estimates. NextBus/Umo Mobility is available through their website and a free mobile app for Apple and Android phones

The free LINKS shuttle receives funding from a Business Improvement District (BID) that is formed by businesses within ¼ mile of the shuttle route, contributions from the City of San Leandro, funding through the TFCA Clean Air funds provided by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), and funds administered by the Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC).
