An influx of new businesses in San Leandro has caught the eye of KTVU News, prompting an in-depth look at what the City has been doing to create the ecosystem necessary to grow and expand our manufacturing base. Featured in their story was the San Leandro’s Business License Tax Holiday.

Type A Machines and 21st Amendment Brewery were highlighted as examples of cutting edge businesses taking advantage of the low cost of doing business in San Leandro. Since the Tax Holiday was initiated in September 2013, 135 new businesses have benefited from the savings offered by the program.

“We’re a start-up, so for us the monetary concern… every dollar counts right now,” said Espen Siversten, the CEO of Type A Machines. And every business counts.
