Leadership San Leandro 2021 Now Recruiting!

Leadership San Leandro is currently recruiting participants for the 2021 Program.  Residents and workers in San Leandro are encouraged to join Leadership San Leandro to gain new skills to grow their career, get to know the community better, and expand their network. Leadership San Leandro is a professional development, networking, and outreach program of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce.  Led by Executive Leadership Coach Breanna Hatcher, the program provides training on leadership strategies throughout the program. The program also offers introductions to local institutions and businesses and attendees hear directly from government and business leaders about their roles, experiences, and professional growth.  The guest presenters represent a diverse cross-section of the community, ranging from elected officials to high-tech innovators, traffic engineers to police detectives, and communications experts to entrepreneurs.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND LEADERSHIP SAN LEANDRO

The program invites individuals living or working in San Leandro who are:

• Wanting to improve their professional skills
• Interested in government leadership
• Wishing to learn about how to make a difference in our community

WHAT IS THE CURRICULUM?

Professional development topics include:

• Assessing your leadership strengths
• Delivering feedback
• Coaching to inspire your team
• Facilitating courageous conversations

Monthly meeting themes include:

• City Government and Economic Development
• Health and Human Services
• San Leandro High School Education and Career Technical Education Program
• San Leandro Police Department and Alameda County Fire Department
• Equity and Inclusion
• Makers and Innovators
• Media and Communications

Leadership San Leandro attendees must commit to a program orientation on October 21, 2021, and eight monthly 8-hour meetings the third Friday of every month from October 23, 2021 through May 18, 2022, a community service project (identified and determined by the attendees), the Taste of San Leandro (date TBD), and a graduation ceremony in June 2022.

Program tuition for the is $995 and includes all program materials, breakfast and lunch on meeting days, and individual professional skills assessment and analysis. Apply online at Leadership San Leandro 2021.
