You have probably noticed the rapid progress of the construction across from the BART station on San Leandro Boulevard.  BRIDGE Housing‘s affordable housing project is well underway and theIMG_1393 modular units are currently being installed.  In a recent feature, the San Francisco Business Times claims that, when complete, the project is likely to be the largest modular affordable housing project in California.  Marea Alta will include 115 affordable apartment homes for families, a child care center, and a small retail space.  The project, which will also provide over 245 underground parking spaces for BART patrons, is anticipated to be complete in the Spring of 2016.  If you are interested in the application process, you may place your name on the interest list for the property by calling BRIDGE Housing at 510-464-5990 or by visiting the Marea Alta web page, and BRIDGE Housing will contact you when the applications become available.

    Hi,

I am very excited about the new Marea Alta apartments in San Leandro. Every once in a while I will drive by just to look at the pace of construction and am amazed at how fast it being built. You guys are wonderful and may God Bless you for all your hard work and effort. I hope someday to become a living member in one of Marea Alta’s apartments in San Leandro.

The contractor they hired is awful. Its already been 2 years and they still can’t finish. And what a mess they made. They destroyed the sidewalks and almost half of the avenue. They had to dig into the street multiple times and looked like they still cant get it done right. I won’t be surprised if whatever they build won’t last.
