Moving Beyond the Blueprint – Community Updates
As of June 9, 2021, Alameda County has proceeded to the yellow tier of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. This announcement comes just six days shy of the lifting of the Blueprint altogether, and returning most business operations to normal.
The success of the drop in cases is thanks to the considerable amount of vaccinations in the County, as well as people’s continued efforts to observe physical distancing, hand hygiene, and wearing a face covering.
The yellow tier is the least restrictive of the Blueprint, and a guide to those restrictions can be found HERE. But on June 15, 2021, the State of California will move Beyond the Blueprint and remove most all restrictions, save for large indoor and outdoor events.
This means that, starting on June 15, businesses may again operate such as they did prior to the pandemic. The State mandate on face coverings will also be lifted for all those who have been fully vaccinated. It is important to recognize, however, that commercial business owners still reserve the right to require face coverings on their premises.
The Alameda County Health Care Services Agency is hosting two virtual meetings to help people navigate the changes that are taking place:
A meeting for the general community is taking place on June 15 from 6PM until 7:30PM. Participants must register, and may do so HERE.
A meeting for employers will take place on June 21 from 6PM until 7:30PM. Participants must register, and may do so HERE.
