Shop San Leandro This Holiday Season
Spending locally, supporting both businesses and jobs in town, is a great opportunity to build our community and our economy. Below is a small sampling of San Leandro businesses to consider for holiday shopping. Please feel free to suggest others in the comments section.
At Bayfair Center the renovated Macy’s is drawing patrons, as well as the smaller independent stores like Wax & Things and Bitti Sports & Toys, that sit among the larger tenants such as Bed, Bath & Beyond, Kohl’s and Target.
Nearby, the new BevMo! at Fashion Faire is open for business, joining Michael’s, Pier 1, and Ross.
At Marina Square the new Banana Republic offers another option to shoppers heading to the clothing retailers like Ann Taylor, Gap, Men’s Warehouse, Nike, Nordstrom Rack, and Talbots.
Downtown, has great jewelry options like Allphin Jewelers and Mandy’s Jewelers, and flowers from East Bay Flowers and San Leandro Bancroft Florist/Lynn’s Floral Designs. As well gifts for your pets at Mike’s Feed & Pets, Pet Image, and Pet Food Express.
Locally crafted foods and beverages make a great gift.
Consider beer from Drake’s Brewery. Or chocolate from Ghirardelli or The Tea Room.
Finally, check out the Chamber of Commerce’s new Experience San Leandro website for deals from local merchants.
I would like to recommend “Floreria Ramos” on Williams street in San Leandro. Nice local shop near elementary schools, to be placed on the city website.
