Saturday, August 26th is a great day for beer-loving San Leandrans, as both 21st Amendment Brewery and Drake’s Brewing Company are hosting anniversary events.

Starting at 12PM (noon), 21st Amendment will host its second annual Augustfest event, celebrating two years in their headquarters location and production facility at 2010 Williams Street. This event is a free-admission, family friendly happening, with live music, live art, a kids’ zone, food trucks, pour-over and cold-brewed coffee from Wheelys Cafe, a cigar lounge, and of course lots of beer. Alongside its faithfully enjoyed brews, 21A will also roll out limited issue beers on an hourly rotation schedule throughout the event, which will draw to a close at 6 PM. There will be a free shuttle running to and from the Downtown San Leandro BART station.

After spending some time at 21A, make your way over to Drake’s at 1933 Davis Street, whose 28th Anniversary free entry event begins at 5PM. ┬áThis shindig will also feature live music, art, food trucks, and games. The beer selection is ample, with over 25 Drake’s beers on tap, and rare and retired cellar releases at their To Go Beer Station. Bike East Bay will provide bike valet services. This event will close at 9 PM. Check out their Inner Circle VIP Package, or the Party On Package for additional perks, such as entry to the VIP Early Entry Hour and Drake’s merchandise.

Come out and join these breweries in celebrating another year of great beer production, right here in San Leandro.
