On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, three separate events will recognize the great work going on today, and opportunities for tomorrow. These include the State of the City on Tuesday, April 23rd, the Development Breakfast on Wednesday, and the Chamber’s Best of San Leandro awards on Thursday.

State of the City

On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Mayor Juan González III will deliver his 2024 State of the City address. The mayor will highlight actions being taken to address the City Council’s priorities of Public Safety, Infrastructure, and Housing and Homelessness. The event will take place at the Marina Community Center located at 15301 Wicks Boulevard from 6PM until 9PM.

Innovation in San Leandro: Development Breakfast

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the City is hosting a development breakfast at the Bayfair Center’s new facility, the Speedway (so named in honor of the race track that occupied the land prior to the mall being built). Brokers, developers, investors, and property owners are encouraged to attend this event where speaker panels will provide an overview of San Leandro’s position in the Bay Area market and highlight the benefits that set San Leandro apart from neighboring cities. Chamber of Commerce’s Best of San Leandro

On Thursday, April 25, 2024, the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce is hosting Best of San Leandro, an exciting reinvention of the San Leandro Business Awards of prior years. This year the winners will be determined by a community vote. Businesses will be recognized in a variety of categories: Small Business, Large Business, Business Services, Food & Drink, Beauty, Health & Wellness, and Home, and Family & Community.
