San Leandro Economic Development Strategy Workshop #2

On the evening of Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 6pm in the Senior Community Center, the City will host the second Community Workshop on the San Leandro Economic Development Strategy.

The ED Strategy will outline specific strategies and programs to support job and business growth, commercial and housing development, retail and restaurant recruitment, and more. The ED Strategy will serve as a guide for economic development efforts over the next five years, identifying the steps and funding needed to make the programs a success.

At this meeting, residents, businesses and community stakeholders will be able to provide feedback and help prioritize specific strategies and programs that the City may pursue. Strategies have been developed based on data analysis and extensive feedback from the first community meeting and stakeholder meetings with businesses, property owners, entrepreneurs and community organizations.

The City encourages attendees to register so that the correct amount of snacks, drinks, and interpretation are available.

Outreach for the meeting is occurring through a wide range of channels, including a multi-lingual notice in the City Manager’s mailed community newsletter. Spanish and Cantonese interpretation will be available.
